Allgäu / Füssen

Allgäu is located right in the south of Germany at the gateway to the Alps. It will win you over with its still gentle slopes and vast hollows and the inherently steep towering walls and angular ridges of the Allgäuer Alps. Here you can choose between leisurely train excursions and fast mountain roads with their magnificent panoramic views. The royal castles, too, will cast their spell on you. For example, Schloss Neuschwanstein, Europe's most visited castle, or Schloss Hohenschwangau, both well-known on account of the 'dreams' of a Bavarian king. Or you can combine adventure with treatment at a health resort such as fishing and building yourself up for a new zest for action. Or you can dare to enter into the majestic world of mountains round about Oberstdorf and into the dreamlike surrounding of southern Allgäu, where fortunately the clocks still tick more slowly.
